If you are looking for a place to chill out with friends while munching good food, then Kalye 8 is the place for you. Just a tricycle away from Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish at Poblacion, going there is sure hassle-free.
Surrounded with bamboo walls, filled with varnished wood chairs and tables, and paired up with gravel-laid floor, the looks of the place is a typical restobar. What sets it apart from the others are the portraits on its walls displaying children playing Filipino games such as luksong tinik and tumbang preso. Mix these up with steady music, and it will bring out a relaxing vibe which is perfect while hanging out with friends.
Buffalo Wings (Sweet)
You have the freedom to choose whether you will have this sweet or spicy. As for me and my friend, we like it sweet.
When it was served to us, it did not look that appetizing. But I was told by someone before that there’s more to food than its appearance. So, I gave it a shot. It is their bestseller anyway.
The chicken meat is flavourful on its own, and it oozes with juiciness in every bite. As it is drenched in butter, it gives out a sweet taste which blends well with its garlic mayo dip.
For its price of Php 98.00, you will not get enough of it and you will surely ask for more servings.
Not only is Kalye 8 known for its buffalo wings, they also have other bestsellers such as tapsilog and sisig. You will find out why once you grab a bite there. So, hurry and head straight there!
What We Like
- Interior perfect for chilling out
- Fast and efficient service (we only waited for 6 minutes for our order, but it still depends on the volume of customers)
What We Don’t Like
- Limited parking space (especially for customers with cars)
- Area may be filled with smoke due to occasional customers smoking
